Year 3/4 News
Farewell, 2022!
Dear Yr 3/4 Families,
It is hard to believe that we are at the end of another academic year! Our journey together began in December 2021 during Head Start Week. The school year officially kicked off in late January 2022. Students quickly settled into their new homerooms and class routines. The term went by very quickly and concluded with our much-anticipated community event, SerataInsieme! Term 2 was an incredibly busy term. Highlights included Cross Country, NAPLAN, Mother’s Day Celebrations, Indigenous Cultural Dance Incursion (National Reconciliation Week) and our excursion to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat. Students tried their luck at panning for gold and enjoyed sampling boiled lollies from the old-fashioned sweet shop!
Semester Two commenced in July and was jam-packed and full of fun activities. Highlights included HoopTime, Commonwealth Games Fun Day, our Yr 3/4 Camp to Lake Dewar, Book Week Celebrations, Sacrament of Reconciliation, Father’s Day Celebrations and our School Concert at Loyola Secondary College. Term 4 started off with the Sacrament of First Eucharist for Yr 4 students, followed by an Author Visit from Cameron Seltzer, Grandparent’s Day, Aquatic Ed, Sports Day and Whole School Christmas Carols. What a year it has been! Thank you to the Year 3/4 students for all of their efforts this year and to the parents for their continued support. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a safe & prosperous New Year!

Sports Day
On Wednesday 30th of November, all students at St Raphael's attended their annual Sports Day. It was such a wonderful day, the sun was shining, the students were having a great time and we got to see all our lovely parent community! We were especially impressed with all the 3/4 parents who competed in the parent race, we are constantly amazed and thankful at how our parent community contributes to the spirit of our school. It was great to see the students participating and enjoying each event, even enjoying a cheeky dance on the sports track! The teachers and students alike, both very much enjoyed doing the macarena together. The enthusiasm all the students showed for their house colours and their fellow classmates was a joy to see.
