THE FEDERATION UNIVERSITY ROAD NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS IS LOCKED AND LOADED FOR 2023

The Federation University Road National Championships takes Australia’s best cyclists to historic roads Ballarat, Buninyong and surrounding areas in a battle for the coveted green and gold National Champions jersey.  Featuring an exciting five-day program with criterium, road race and time trial events, cyclists will see, experience and participate in the ultimate week of Aussie Cycling. 

The Road Nat's cycling festival gives you the chance to see and enjoy the amazing sights of Ballarat and with plenty happening on and off the track, there is something for everyone.

Aus Cycling National Championships

Our students have once again been asked to join with the Friends of Buninyong Botanic Gardens to engage in art work to decorate the red bikes that are displayed around the town to welcome competitors and visitors throughout the Aus Cycling National Championships from January 6-10 in 2023.

Year 1/2 students will have the opportunity to participate in this project during their Art classes in the coming weeks. The link to the template, along with instructions will also be advertised via our whole school newsletter for any other interested students.

Roger Permezel from the Friends of  Buninyong Botanic Gardens is co-ordinating this project and has informed us that

 …“the cycle drawings prepared by BPS students last year were a great hit on display around the township”. 

If you have a child/ren who are not in Year 1/2 and are interested in participating in this activity, please ask them to visit the school office from next Monday for a copy of the template, which they can complete at home and return to school.

Use the template below to print and draw your picture inspired by the road nationals on. 

Once complete please give to Mrs Noyce in the art room and you will see your art work on display in shops around the beautiful Buninyong township.
