Meet our School Captains

Asreet

Hi, I'm Asreet. I am one of the school captains for 2023. I would like our AGPS community to know a little bit about me. I applied for school captain because I want to make AGPS an even better place for the generations to come and I have always been inspired by the previous school captains. I love Altona Green Primary School because it has a wide range of opportunities for kids to learn and grow in their own individual way. It also has a great environment in the school yard. I have experience in leadership by being a library monitor in 2022. I also have experience helping in clubs like 'Music N Motion' and 'Let's Get Physical'. Some of my favourite hobbies are swimming, basketball, writing, baking, reading and maths. My favourite subject is maths because I like to be challenged as well as learn new strategies. My favourite school event is the Colour Explosion which I cannot wait for later this term. These are just some of the many things about me and I can't wait to see what will happen this year!!

Izzy

Hi my name is Izzy and I am one of the school captains for 2023. You may remember me from the A.G.P.S. Recycling Challenge that was run by Abby and I. I am so excited to help make this school a better place for everyone. For example, we are planning for the Recycling Challenge to return this year! Anyway, here is a little bit about me. Outside of school I enjoy Circus (aerial silks and trapeze), drumming and hockey. Whilst at school I love maths, inquiry and reading, as well as STEM and art. No matter the subject, I will always give my all. I am always ready to give a helping hand to anyone when needed. Being school captain is a great honour and I cannot wait to see what I can become in this role.

Bianca

Hi! My name is Bianca and I am one of the Vice Captains for 2023. This is actually the first role I've ever had at School, and I hope that I can help improve Altona Green in every way possible. I am really looking forward to all of the jobs I will get to do, and I already love being Vice Captain. I have 2 favourite subjects at School (not including specialists), and those subjects are: Reading, because I like reading about weird things that happen in books and couldn't possibly happen in real life, and Writing, because you can be creative and use your imagination to write about weird things that happen in your own books! When I'm at home, I like to read, play the piano, play board games and card games, and go on the trampoline. I look forward to everything we can make possible this year!

Abby

Hi I’m Abby, and I am one of the School Vice Captains for 2023. I am very excited to help this school be a better place for the students to come. You might remember me from the A.G.P.S Recycling Challenge which Izzy and I, the other host of the challenge, are hoping to start up again this year. Outside of school I play for a basketball team at the Altona Sports Center and do swimming lessons. My favourite subjects are Maths, S.T.E.M, Inquiry and I also find myself enjoying the others more than I think I do. I am always ready to help the teacher in class and anyone else whilst at school and at home. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me as the year goes on.
