Grade 1

The Grade 1 Dinner was a fantastic way to finish the end of the year. The students had an awesome time playing games and eating their dinner together. Margaritas pizzas and paddle pops were a popular dinner choice!

The students have written recounts about the dinner that we have shared with you to enjoy.

The Grade 1 team would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We are so proud of all the Grade 1’s this year. They have grown a lot over the course of the year and we hope they enjoy a well-deserved holiday.

See you all next year!

Grade 2

The Year 2 Passion Project using the Thinker’s Keys!

With the countdown on, our Year 2 students have not slowed down!

Their energy… focus… and enthusiasm to use the skills they have gathered throughout the year to research, prepare and present their individual Passion Projects has been inspiring!

After days of researching interesting topics that tickled their curiosity, such as France, Mediterranean Cuisine, Whippets, French Bulldogs, Mosquitoes, Pythons, Dwarf planet Pluto, Otters, Bunnies, Butterflies, X-Wing, Spinosaurus, Snow Leopard, Saturn, Cobras, Norway, How to be an Animal Keeper, Footy, and not to forget the prehistoric looking Shoebill Stork plus many more,

our students prepared a poster then will film their presentation using iMovie!

These photos do not do justice to the work that will go on, into our last full week of school! Next week, the filming begins as the students present their Passion Project …

“3, 2, 1 ACTION ! …”

Congratulations to each Year 2 “awesome” student…  You truly shine and it has been a joy to share this year with each and every one of you…

You are now ready to fledge out of the Junior School nest…

 from your Year 2 teachers!

Walk against Family Violence

By Dean, Louis and Mooid

Today, our school participated in the walk against family violence. This is happening all over Australia.

WHAT DID WE DO TODAY?

We walked laps on the astro turf oval to show our support. We also wore orange as a sign of solidarity.

We did this to try to show are a against family violence and violence against women.

WHAT ARE WE SPREADING AWARENESS ABOUT?

We are spreading awareness about family violence because we can stop family violence and violence against women by wearing orange cloths or  accessories and walking against the issue.

WHAT IS THE MESSAGE OF THE DAY?

We need to raise awareness about Family violence and violence  against women because it’s an issue around the world and if we talk about it or take action in any way we could help people look after each other and be kind to each other

Thank you to all the students, staff and families who attended today.
