Hello! My name is Miss J-M, and I am the Year 1/2 classroom teacher and School Maths Leader for 2023.

I love teaching my students the joy of learning through discovery. Here is a holiday snap of me discovering Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains (NSW). What a spectacular view!

The experience of exploring the wilderness of the Blue Mountains reminds me of students tackling challenging tasks. I was required to work with a team, set a goal (i.e. work out where we wanted to end up) and take steps towards achieving that goal,  just like the students engaging and collaborating.

I look forward to supporting all the children at Holy Family School to find the joy of discovery in Mathematics. Our big focus this year will be on mental computation and problem-solving. I can't wait to share my passion and help inspire students' curiosity and sense of adventure.
