Support and Encouragement

Hello, lovely people of the Holy Family Community.

This is a photo of me in front with a scrunched-up face trying to make the best of taking a selfie. This is not my natural habitat; I am usually behind the camera, not out in front of it. We were having a day out at Phillip Island, just over an hour’s drive from home. We enjoyed the great weather and had lunch on the beach.

You can see the struggle in my face; what you can’t see in the faces behind me is the support and encouragement they offer, along with gentle laughter. This is how I see the role of the Community Hub here at Holy Family Primary School. The Hub is here to provide support and be a welcoming, safe place where we can share stories and connect.

We can connect over the things we know and the things we want to learn, and we can laugh together along the way. If you feel out of place and want to make connections in your community, start with a visit to the Hub.

Please drop into the Hub for a cuppa and a chat. I am here from Wednesday to Friday.

We will be running:

  •  English Classes for Adults on Wednesdays (9.30 am to 11.30am),
  • Little Hubbies Learn and Grow Playgroup and Toy Library on Thursdays (9.30am to 11.30 am)
  • Conversations on the Couch on Friday’s 9.30 to 11.30 to Connect, Share, and Learn through activities, conversation and guest presenters.

The Toy Library will also be available for pick up and returns on Friday mornings.

I look forward to lots of learning and laughter with you all.

See you at the Hub.
