Marnie Lambden-Grant

Prep/Year 1 Classroom Teacher

Precious Ties

Happy New Year, everyone!

I am Marnie Lambden-Grant or Mrs LG to the students, but most of you may know me as Marnie Newbound. I was married at the end of last year, and at the beginning of this year, my name was officially changed. Some of the older students may take some time to remember what name to call me!

2023 will be my 4th year teaching at Holy Family (8th in total), and I am currently the Prep/1 teacher. As part of my role, I look forward to challenging my students to dive into the unknown bravely and to develop a deep love of learning.

I was so grateful over the holiday break to be surrounded by family. In the busyness of the year, we often forget how precious this time with our loved ones is. At Holy Family, we are thankful to be surrounded by our families at home and in our personal lives and learning community, which is like a family to us too. Like any family, we face challenges, play, learn, have fun and grow together.

This photo of my family helps to display how integral family is to me and how I hope our little class ‘family’ grows in love and learning throughout the year. This picture from Christmas day brings me joy and reminds me of these precious ties we share at Holy Family.
