Extensions Program

The College’s Extension is designed for highly able students who are achieving or who have the potential to achieve at levels significantly beyond their age group. 

The Program draws on a wide range on extension opportunities and programs currently being offered. 

These offerings are designed to develop creativity, critical thinking and complex problem-solving. Students are selected for extension programs through the use of a criteria to take a variety of components into consideration.  

Some of the extension activities available include

Contest and competitions, (e.g., APSMO, AMT, Art Competitions, Creative Writing Competitions, Library etc) 
Premiere’s Reading Challenge 
District GALWAY activities/competitions (Debating, Chess, Maths Olympiad, Music. Theatre/Drama, STEM, Art, Faith and Society workshops)
