Carols On The Green 2025
Laura 4P
My favourite part of carols 2025 was the teacher dance because it was really funny. The Grinch was Miss Patel and Cindy Lou was Mrs Hart. It was sooo funny because Miss Patel was really cranky and at the end of carols Miss Patel’s heart grew and the grinch was happy!! I played the angklung and the song was Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer and I also did Must Be Santa and the whole school song was Sir Duke! My favourite songs were the teacher performance, the preps, and the grade 6s. I liked these songs because the teacher song was hilarious, the prep song was really cute and I loved the actions to the grade 6 song.

At carols, year 3 sang 2 wonderful songs called Merry Christmas Everyone and our whole school song called Sir Duke. Before any years sang we watched performances including singing and instruments. Me and my friend wore a red top that said joy, green shorts, a reindeer headband and a light up necklace. I really liked all of the year year one’s costumes because the heads were Christmas trees so we could see them from far away. My favourite part was when Mr Tibballs and Mr Somerville pretended to be Ed Sheeran and Elton John because they were playing instruments and being funny.

At carols we had the best time ever! First, there were sooo many instruments: there was Jenson playing the drums, then Morris also played the drums. After, Fraser and Parker played the electric guitar. There was soo much more! Then after, the grade 2s started us off with a blast. After, the grade 4s made us be a star! The preps were sooo cute singing Good Things Come In Little Packages”. Here comes the grade 1s making us rock with Rocking Around The Christmas Tree. Grade 3s here we come! We were singing Merry Christmas Everyone. Grade 5s are getting sunny with Six White Boomers! Now we had choir singing Somewhere In My Memory. The staff were sooo funny! Especially Mr Somerville and Mr Tibballs. Then the grade 6s ended their last carols in RNPS. They were singing Santa Tell Me. Now comes the exciting part! Raffle Draw! Then to end we sang Sir Duke (whole school song). Carols was soo much fun.

The costume that I wore was a Santa bow and skirt. Also some Santa earrings. The costumes I liked the most were the preps with their little packages. I did four very fun performances on the night. The first thing was a keyboard performance with Claudia and Eleanor. We played Silent Night and Ode To Joy. Next was the angklung ensemble. We played Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. Then was our grade 4 song. We did Must Be Santa. It was especially hard for the girls because we had to memorise the lines. The last performance of the night was the one and only Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder. It was the song that really connected our school. The food that I ate was my friend’s hot chips and garlic bread. It was so generous of them to share their food. That’s what I love most about RNPS, our ability to share. My favourite performance of the night was number one: the staff song Merry Christmas. It was a very creative song and hilarious. The next was Good Things Come In Little Packages by the preps because yes they are small but great on the inside. My last favourite song was Santa Tell Me by the grade 6s. The performance was definitely the best of the night, so great job.

My favourite song was Sir Duke because we could do the da da da da da da da da da da da da da on the last pin drop! My favourite costume was the preps or the grade 1s because they were dressed up as presents. My favourite thing that they sold was the zooper doopers because all my friends had them. The food I had at my picnic was Vegemite scrolls and it gave me more energy to sing “Merry Christmas Everyone”. The drink I had was sprite and it was annoying because I burped a lot, and the fizz tickled my nose. My favourite part was having fun and singing and showing up to carols.

At carols I enjoyed the songs Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree and Good Things Come In Little Packages because they were so joyful and happy! My favourite part was that I got to spend time with my friends and family especially Hazel and Sage. I ate yummy brownie that my mum made. Lots of people wanted to try my brownies. It was noisy there but so fun at the same time. Some of my friends could not come but that was okay because I had other friends. Hazel let me share her blanket with her because I forgot mine. I bought a wand from the glow stall and I played with it. CAROLS WAS SO FUN!

My favourite part of carols was the preps because if you get a big gift doesn’t mean that you’ll get a whole waterpark. Like if you get a small gift it could be a key to a car and a key to a new house. My second favourite was the staff because the staff don’t dance really often so it was a once in a year opportunity. My third favourite one was grade 6 because those types of songs aren’t used for the other grades.

My favourite performances were mine (Merry Christmas Everyone, Somewhere In My Memory and Sir Duke) because I like how I was in it. I also liked the other songs. They all share a message about Christmas or some are just an ordinary song with a good lesson. I really liked all the costumes. They were all different but all of them had at least a splash of Christmas to give. Except it’s not about the lovely costumes it’s about you and how you performed or if you were in the audience. At carols some of us bought cool water, some got glow-in-the-dark things and I got an apple splash juice and a candle. The candles were so pretty in the choir song. There were raffle tickets too, with prizes to be won. The school raised over $2,000. There was also so much yummy food that people brought. Some brought sangas, some brought fruit and some brought biscuits for a mini feast. My favourite part was getting together and spending the wonderful night with friends and family. Merry Christmas!

At carols I enjoyed the teacher song because it was really funny and Mr Somerville and Mr Tibballs were pretending to be singers. My favourite part was watching the performances because it was really loud and there was lots of actions. All the people using the instruments were really brave. The Grade 3 song was Merry Christmas Everyone. When I was up on stage I enjoyed dancing and singing.

At carols Maddison had a really cool costume with a big white Santa beard. A few of my favourite performances were prep because they were all in cute little present costumes also grade 6 because it is a really good song. My favourite part was the staff with Ed Shannon and Elton Jayden because it was really funny. Another funny thing was the Grinch and Cindy Lou which was good because then the Grinch had some Christmas spirit in the end. The carols also had a store I bought a zooper dooper but there was also Christmas tree headband, a big star wand and some soft drink and juice.

I think the best song was the preps. Also, grade 6 was and the teachers. I chose the preps because they were so cute and their costumes were so cute I would cry if I could. I also chose the grade 6s because the song matched their outfit. And the teachers because they were so funny. I was laughing a lot. I think the most funny was Cindy Lou and the Grinch. Miss Patel did such a good job with the makeup and Mrs Hart was good at the hair. I bought smarties and Dino nuggets with chips and slushy. It was a fun night I had. I think my food was the best. I think the people and the teachers did a really good job at singing and dancing and Mr Tibballs and Mr Somerville were real funny. I can remember still it was really cool I nearly cried with joy. My favourite part was angklung. I was second to go on. I loved it. I think it was the best day ever. I cried a lot maybe 3 times or less. I wish I was a prep they were so cute. I sang along with the song.

My favourite song was Six White Boomers because the grade 5s voices were really good it sounded like they actually sang the song. I also had a great time singing Must Be Santa and Sir Duke but my favourite part of carols 2025 was when I was hungry I went to my mum and she gave me Freddo's and popcorn. The costumes that I saw were really good like some preps were in a package. My favourite costume was Easton and Tanner they were matching. I didn’t buy anything but I saw people with stuff and it looked really good when they shared it around. PS. Thanks Mrs Knoll for setting this amazing carols it was amazing you’re the best for doing this. Also the people had an amazing time Mrs Knoll you are awesome for setting the stage up and for practising with all classes in Performing Arts. We all appreciate what you’ve done to make this amazing carols be able to happen. Also thanks to Miss Patel and Mrs Hart for running carols. Thanks so much.

My highlights of carols was the song Six White Boomers because I liked the actions and the words. I also liked the grade 6 song because the way they sang it was awesome and how they sang loud just so the people at the back could hear. It was very good singing by every grade but my favourite had to be the grade 5s and 6s. I think that the 4s could have projected their voice a bit more but other than that they did well. I liked the whole school song because the words were well used and the actions are the cherry on top. I liked the costumes but my favourite had to be Mr Tibballs and Mr Somerville because they looked so goofy but cool at the same time. I was in the exact same outfit as Tanner. Even though I had basketball for my belly I still don’t think that I had the best costume. Thank you Mrs Knoll for setting all of that up it was a very fun night. I had an awesome time with my friends, family and everyone else. I am really grateful that I came because I had one of the best times of my whole life that night. I just wish that I sang a bit louder because my parents were there. After carols I was playing with my friends. Then I remembered what carols is about. It is about having fun singing and to play with your friends. Even though I didn’t sing too loud I still did well and that’s what is important.
