Year 9 Report

Keele Hillas

As we reach the final weeks of the school year, we want to take a moment to congratulate our Year 9 students on an incredible finish to their time in the Junior School. Over the past fortnight, they have demonstrated maturity, resilience and determination as they completed their exams and final assessments for the year. Their efforts, teamwork and growth have been evident in every classroom, every task, and every conversation — and we could not be prouder.

Moving into Year 10 is a significant milestone, and our students are ready. They have built strong learning habits, developed independence, and continued to embody our Woodmans Hill Secondary College values of Respect, Determination and Excellence.

Now, as they close the door on their Junior School chapter, a new and exciting journey begins.

Year 9 → 10 Step Up Program: Wednesday 10th – Friday 12th December

We are excited to welcome all Year 9 students into our Step Up Program — three days designed to prepare them for the transition into the Senior School.

Throughout the program, students will:

  • Engage in activities that build practical and organisational skills

  • Develop personal awareness and reflect on who they want to become

  • Increase confidence as they explore the expectations of Senior School

  • Learn about the opportunities ahead in Year 10 and VCE/VPC Pathways

  • Build positive relationships with Senior School teachers and leaders

This program sets the tone for a fresh start in 2026 — one filled with high expectations, new challenges, and exciting opportunities.
