From the Classroom - M5 (Jaymie)

Writing has been a highlight for many students in M5 throughout the year. They have enjoyed writing narratives, information reports, procedures and letters. 

Some highlights from students about writing this year: 

• "I liked doing the Christmas writing because we got to use texta to go over our writing" -Noah H

Christmas Writing! 

Over the last two weeks in M5, students have been working hard on different Christmas writing pieces. Students began by writing a procedure on ‘How to Decorate a Christmas Tree’. They had to ensure they were using ‘bossy verbs’ such as put, cut, sit etc. to ensure they had very clear and direct instructions.

After this, students began writing a letter to Santa. Students had to think about what should be included in a letter and ensure they were being polite to Santa!
