Dear parents and carers,

Welcome back to Term 1!

It is great to be back and supporting the students to settle into their new classrooms and build routines. Students have shown lots of excitement when sharing their holiday experiences with their classmates and staff.  Highlights for Weeks 1-2 have included kitchen garden, science, literacy and mathematics. Some of our students have had the opportunity to be involved in Hands on Learning Build and Coffee Cart.

Classroom teams have worked hard to prepare the learning environment and provide learning opportunities catered to student needs. This year we welcome Kali and Minsha to classrooms in our sub-school.

Seesaw is now linked to your child's 2026 class. It will be used to share classroom learning, including photos, updates, and snapshots of student achievements. If you have any difficulties accessing or signing in, please contact your child’s classroom teacher for assistance.

Student Support Group (SSG) weeks will take place between Monday February 9  and Thursday February 26.  Letters have been sent home in your child's communication book.

These meetings provide a great opportunity to meet new teachers, discuss Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals, and collaborate on supporting your child’s learning and wellbeing throughout the year.

I look forward to a wonderful term ahead! Please contact me with any questions or concerns. I will aim to respond as soon as possible, within 1-2 working days.

Amelia

ROOM 19

We are already into Week 2 of the new semester, and it has been so heart warming to see the students settling in, getting to know each other, and building new friendships.

This year, our classroom will once again be proudly leading the school’s Breakfast Club! The children are excited and motivated to contribute to everyone’s healthy eating journey. It’s amazing to see their willingness to help others and take on responsibility with such joy.

Our class is full of little helpers, animal lovers, and plant enthusiasts-kind, caring souls who brighten our days.

We look forward to a year full of learning, laughter, and growing together!

Senior Secondary

Welcome back to all our students and families — we hope you had a safe and refreshing break. It has been wonderful to see students return with enthusiasm as they begin new learning opportunities.

This term, many students have commenced additional programs, including AGA TAFE, where they will work toward their White Card and develop valuable trade skills. We also have two School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship pathways underway, including Cert III in Supply Chain Operations and Cert III in Baking through NorthPoint and GR8, as well as Cert II in Visual Arts in partnership with Hume Valley School.

Interschool sport will begin in the coming weeks, and students have commenced the Coffee Cart and Canteen program.

We are also supporting 15 graduating students as they prepare for an exciting and understandably nervous transition beyond school.

We look forward to seeing their learning growth during these programs this year.

Room 22

Room 22 Students are settling into class well. They are learning their new timetable and routines and are having fun making new friends. This semester on Thursdays, the students are completing Hands on Learning Canteen with Vicki. They are learning about kitchen hygiene and using the equipment safely to prepare delicious food each week.
