Year 7

We are delighted to welcome our Year 7 students and families to our school community. Beginning secondary school is an exciting milestone, and it has been wonderful to see how positively our students have already started the year—forming new friendships, learning new routines, and embracing new challenges.
Our school values are at the heart of everything we do and guide the way we learn and work together.
Respect means treating others, ourselves, and our school environment with care and consideration.
Co-operation means working together, supporting one another, and recognising that we all learn best when we feel safe, supported, and included.
Excellence means striving to do your best — putting in consistent effort, taking pride in learning, and being open to growth and improvement.
To our Year 7 students, we encourage you to live these values every day—by being respectful, working cooperatively, and always aiming to do your best.
To our parents and carers, we value your partnership and support as your child transitions into secondary school. Your encouragement at home plays an important role in helping students build confidence, resilience, and positive learning habits. We look forward to working closely with you throughout the year and appreciate your ongoing support.
We are excited for the year ahead and confident that, together, we can ensure a positive and successful Year 7 experience for all students.
Welcome to our school community—we’re so pleased to have you with us.

Year Level Leader's Report - Year 7
Year 7 students have made a fantastic start to the year, demonstrating strong teamwork, encouragement and positivity across their learning and school activities. They have shown a willingness to support one another, embrace new challenges and approach their learning with enthusiasm and confidence.
It has been wonderful to see students building positive relationships, working collaboratively in class and contributing to a respectful and inclusive learning environment.
We are incredibly proud of the way Year 7 have settled into secondary school and look forward to seeing this positive mindset continue throughout the year.
There are many events coming up at the college that our year 7’s will be involved in. They have begun PAT testing, which will give students and their teachers an indication of their learning levels and next steps in their learning.
They are also excited about our whole school swimming carnival this Thursday, where students can dress in their house colours and compete for the House cup.
All year 7 families are also invited to our Meet and Greet BBQ being held on Wednesday 18th February from 5-6pm. It will be a great opportunity for families to touch base with their child’s tutor teacher and celebrate their transition to secondary school.
The fun doesn’t stop there, with all year 7’s having the opportunity to attend an Eastern Beach excursion which is always a lot of fun and a great way to get to know the other students in their tutor group better.
