Principal's Message

A Prayer for Fathers and Special Friends
Loving God,
We thank You for the gift of fathers and special friends,
for their guidance, love, and care.
Bless them with strength, patience, and joy,
and may they always know how deeply they are appreciated.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Father’s and Special Friends Day
What a truly wonderful morning we shared this morning, as our school came together to celebrate Father’s and Special Friends Day. Even though the sun wasn’t shining and the air was chilly, our community braved the cold to be together — and the warmth of smiles and laughter more than made up for the weather. Our students were absolutely delighted to welcome their dads, grandads, uncles, and special friends into their school world.
The morning began with a buzz of conversation as families gathered in the yard. The coffee van was a very welcome stop on a cool morning, giving everyone the chance to catch up over something warm before the fun began. Kelly Sports kept the energy high with a great range of games and activities, which had children and adults alike getting involved and enjoying themselves. Kelly sports are running after school sports this term and next, further information is in the newsletter. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, cheers, and even a little friendly competition!
Events like this remind us just how important these connections are. The presence of fathers and special friends highlights the role our families play in supporting our children’s learning and wellbeing. For our students, it meant so much to share their school with the people who are important to them. The joy and pride on their faces said it all.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us on the day — your support and participation made it such a memorable occasion. Thank you also to the staff and helpers who organised the morning and ensured everything ran so smoothly. Especially Emma Strom who always works so hard behind the scenes. We are blessed to have a community that values coming together to celebrate and support our children in such meaningful ways.
As we move into the weekend, we take this opportunity to wish all our dads a very Happy Father’s Day for Sunday. May it be a time of joy, love, and gratitude for all you do.
Regards
Brian Martin
