Social Emotional Early Learning (SEED Program)
What have we been up to in SEED?
Nature Walk - Students explored the natural environment around the school on a sensory walk and then worked together to create a shared text, building oral vocabulary and strengthening links between spoken and written language.
Play Shops - Year 1/2 students planned and ran their own shop, practising teamwork by delegating roles such as shopkeeper, cashier, and customer, ensuring everyone had a turn. They strengthened their money skills by using play money to buy and sell items, count change, and solve simple problems in a real-life context.
Feelings Wheels - Students created their own feelings wheels to identify and express emotions, sharing personal experiences and learning positive strategies to manage different feelings.
Fairy Gardens - Foundation students designed and built Fairy Gardens, using descriptive language, creativity, and storytelling while also linking to science through habitats, observation, and plant needs. They practised literacy skills by writing something about their garden.
