Principal's Report 

 We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people. May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.

Maths, maths, maths!

We were delighted with the number of families that joined us at school on Monday evening to engage in a range of challenging and engaging tasks to celebrate the maths at our Family Maths Night. We had over 100 participants join us for this fun-filled evening  - thank you so much for your support. Following our student and staff engagement in a variety of Maths events over the past few weeks, I would like to acknowledge and thank staff, families and students and in particular Pat Withell for leading a love of Maths at our school.

Gymnastics Open Week

We have had many parents take the opportunity to visit and observe our MRPS Gymnastics Program this week. With state-of-the-art equipment, and support from Gymnastics Victoria, this comprehensive program has supported all students from Foundation to Year Six. A big thank you to Katherine, Miss Em and the JSC for making this program come to life.

MRPS Writers' Festival

This fabulous event is just around the corner, happening throughout next week, and students have been preparing their piece for public display. An Open Afternoon is scheduled for next Wednesday, September 10, from 2:20pm. Stay tuned for further information.

Student Led Conferences

Have you booked a time to celebrate your child's learning with their teacher? Bookings are now open for Student Led Conferences on Wednesday September 17 - the final week of term. A reminder that this day is a 'student free' day.

School Council  - Community Meeting

Any members of our school community are most welcome to join us on Monday evening at 7:00pm for our Open Meeting. Come and meet our School Council and engage in a meeting with us.

Fathers' Day

We wish all of the special men in our lives a wonderful weekend of pampering and gratitude - Happy Fathers' Day!
