Performing Art

In Performing Art classes, students have been deeply engaged in planning and rehearsing their performances for 'Go Home Cheeky Animals!". Each class has been working creatively to bring the story to life in different ways.
Our junior classes have been busy designing and making props for their puppets, as well as creating simple sets to support their storytelling. They are learning how these visual elements help an audience better understand and enjoy the performance.
Meanwhile, our 3/4 students have been extending their thinking by making deliberate choices about how characters should be represented on stage. They have been critically exploring:
- Movement: how characters walk, stand, and react to situations.
- Voice: using tone, pitch, and expression to communicate emotions and meaning.
- Sound and Music: experimenting with body percussion, classroom instruments, and technology for sound effects to support and enhance the story.
Across all year levels, students are showing creativity, teamwork, and confidence as they rehearse and refine their chosen beats. It has been inspiring to see the variety of ideas emerging, and we can’t wait to see how their final performances take shape.
