At our end of Term 3 Assembly, it was pleasing that the number of students attending every period for the second half of the term had increased, after all the illness going around the first half of term. Twenty students from F-6 had attended all classes and twenty-four from 7 – 12. It would be great to see this number increase even more, as we know that it is important for students to attend every day to gain the best out of their schooling. The lucky attendee, was Oliver McPhee, who received a REX Cinema voucher. A big thank you to the REX for their support.
Term three’s main focus for SWPBS was on the value of resilience.
We almost filled the silo falling just short of our target of 900 for the term, gaining 830 tokens.
The second half of the term we have received 349 tokens,
64 for the value of Resilience,
88 for the value of Respect
and 197 for the value of Responsibility.
The Primary Lucky draw winner was Tully Van Boven. He had been awarded his token for the value of Respect. The Secondary Lucky draw winner was Shalmain Drummond. She had been awarded her token for the value of Responsibility. Shalmain received a REX Cinema voucher. We thank the REX very much for their support.
We are a few days into term 4 now. During Term 4 everyone is required to wear a hat when outdoors. We all know this is an important SunSmart action.
Well done to the majority of students who have remembered their hats!! There are still a number of students who are relying on borrowing a hat so they can play in the sun. This will not be an option during Recess or Lunchtime anymore. Anyone without their own hat will be required to remain in the shade.
Parent's, please check with your students that they have their hat at school.
We have been informed by the Buloke Shire that the High St Crossing is currently unsupervised, with the crossing supervisor position yet to be filled.
We ask that all students and families take extra care when crossing High St. If possible, please consider using an alternative route or accompanying your child across the road.
We have notified the appropriate authorities and will advise the school community once supervision resumes.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in keeping everyone safe.
