PBS Tickets: Reminder to continue to use PBS tickets as positive reinforcement to encourage students following the expected behaviours Matrixes

Climbing and OT room door: The door to the climbing gym has been left unlocked a couple of times recently. It must be locked at all times. Please make sure you lock it.

Red Bins: The red bins next to the photocopiers are for confidential waste. Please put documents with student/staff names, details, work programs, IEP goals, reports etc in these bins. There are also two more confidential waste bins next to Frances and Denise's office.

Headphones: SSLs have some new headphones. If you have working headphones but are missing the fluffy padding, ask Amelia as she has gathered up lots of single fluffy pads.

Maintenance Program: Please ensure you update these to reflect proactive strategies and behaviours of concern for your students. It is important for CRTs to access these

documents and know what to look out for when in your classroom. Please meet with your teams to ensure information is shared. 

Classroom Checklists: Please ensure that all classroom teams follow our new plan to complete your classroom checklists each day. This is important for teams to do so to support a safe learning environment for all JSA students. SSLs will be checking in to monitor progress and provide support where necessary. 

   Primary Sub School - Dan Moloney

Welcome back, Primaries!

I hope that you all had a lovely mid-year break. It's great to be back and seeing you all set up in your classrooms. I look forward to supporting you all whilst we aim to appoint a new leader for you all very soon.

Thank you for your ongoing support and leadership of all primary students in our care. It makes all the difference. :)

     Middle Sub School - Amelia Frantz

We Rock the Spectrum excursions postponed until further notice. Please use this time to go to Gavin Park to support travel skill development. Let me know when you are going and if you need assistance with first aid officers. 

 Secondary Sub School - Stefania Mantinioti

New Yard Duty: Most updated version is dated as 9/9, please ensure that this is displayed in your classroom & check emails for daily duty updates.

Breezeway: Please ensure students are closely supervised in the Breezeway. 

Excursions: State Library Excursion for R22 on Friday. 

Camp: For Future Ready classrooms camp dates are Monday 6/10, Tuesday 7/10 returning Wednesday 8/10 midday. Staff attending: Stefania, Will, Juri, Karla and Simone. 

Senior Secondary Sub School -  Sean Procko         

Excursions: Enable will run in Term 4 - info sent.

VPC Fund Raising: Sausage Sizzle this week! You can pay via QKR.

Camp: Information forwarded to families.

Here is an update on his Structured Workplace Learning at JKD Legacy Academy:

On a related note, I wanted to share that Dylann is doing exceptionally well in his Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) program. His commitment is outstanding—he only misses days when he's unwell.

He shows great passion during our martial arts sessions, often asking proactive questions to ensure he's on top of setting up and putting away the training equipment. His social skills are also shining; he interacts wonderfully with all our academy members and is very well-liked.

We've also noticed him becoming more mindful of his personal presentation and verbal communication. He is definitely getting the most out of this experience.
