Subject Selection Process
The Subject Selection process for students in Years 7 to 11 is a hot topic of conversation for our students and families. With each process either underway or about to commence in each year level, the need to both think about and discuss what options are available is a vital part of the process. We encourage all students with their families to take the time to discuss what is important to them and how the options available support that.
As a result of student selections, the timetable for 2026 is constructed. Therefore, it is important that students engage in the process and meet the relevant guidelines. We acknowledge that it is a busy and involved process. As a College, we look to support you through the time and should you have any questions or concerns.
All subject selection portals will be open in the near future. Students will be notified directly via email that their relevant selection portal is open and the process to follow. Our Subject Selection Hub is here to assist in making the decision here.
The following deadlines for Subject Selection apply:
- Year 8 2026: Wednesday 20 August
- Year 9 2026: Friday 22 August
- Year 10 2026: Friday 22 August
- Year 11 2026: Monday 18 August
- Year 12 2026: Friday 15 August
Academic Integrity Policy
Last newsletter, we highlighted that the College’s Academic Integrity Policy was in development. This is now available on the College Website and here below.
Importantly, it outlines to students, families and teachers the expectations regarding Academic Integrity and the nature of breaches (Academic Misconduct). In the case of Academic Misconduct, the policy outlines the process to be followed, ensuring fairness, transparency and accountability.
Please take time to look over the policy as a family to ensure that all students are aware of what is required of them. In maintaining Academic Integrity, we can then be sure that all assessments undertaken by the students are a true representation of their learning and ability and that no student has gained an unfair advantage.
Book Week Celebrations
The benefits of reading are many: for personal, academic and relational growth, as well as improving health. It enhances cognitive abilities, promotes empathy and understanding of diverse perspectives. Reading and discussing books foster deeper analysis by listening and debating different points of view.
To help promote reading for enjoyment across all Year Levels, we're pleased to bring a two-week celebration of activities, events and workshops in our Libraries. The program is available below, we look forward to welcoming our community.
