Resignation of Mr Jay De Mel – Business Manager

 

We wish to inform you that Mr Jay De Mel has resigned from his position as Business Manager. We are grateful for the contribution Mr De Mel has made during his time at our school and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

 

While we begin the process of recruiting a new Business Manager, we have engaged a consultant Business Manager to support the school during this transition.

 

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns regarding school fees or finance-related matters, please contact our Accounts Department.

 

We thank you for your understanding and continued support.


Helpers needed for Father's Day Stall

Our Father's Day stall will take place on Thursday, 4 September.  To ensure this runs smoothly, we will need help in a few different areas.  If you are available to help out for any of these timeslots/areas below, please contact Mrs Huisman at karynhuisman@ncs.nsw.edu.au to indicate your availability.  

  • Thursday, 24 July (10.30am - 12.00pm) at the school, we need 2 parents to help price items ready for the stall - during school holidays.
  • Wednesday, 3 September - Setup the stall (1.00pm - 2.45pm), we need 3 parents to help setup the items ready for the stall the following day.
  • Thursday, 4 September - We need the most help on the day of, wrapping gifts or helping students select gifts.  It's a lot of fun, the kids really enjoy choosing the gifts!
    • 8:45am - 12:30pm - we need 6 parents to help (morning tea will be provided during recess 10:25am - 10:55am).
    • 12:45pm - 3:00pm - we need 6 parents to help (which includes pack-up from 2:45pm - 3:00pm).

If you are a parent, carer or grandparent and are available to help out for this fun event, please contact Mrs Huisman at karynhuisman@ncs.nsw.edu.au to indicate your availability.   

 

 Before you will be able to help with this, you will need to obtain a volunteer's working with children check number from Service NSW and then complete our Volunteer Registration Form (parents who help in the classroom, canteen etc. would have already completed this).


Year 10 Work Experience

Year 10 will be heading off to work experience in Week 6 of Term 3 (1-5 September). If any school families would be interested in hosting a student in their businesses/workplaces let me know by emailing careers@ncs.nsw.edu.au or jennyaxtens@ncs.nsw.edu.au

We recently launched our Community Prayer Network—a new initiative designed especially for parents and others who care deeply about the life and mission of Nowra Christian School.

 

This network provides a meaningful opportunity to support our school community through regular prayer. By signing up to receive monthly prayer updates, you’ll stay informed and be equipped to pray intentionally for the students, staff, and families of our school.
