NAPLAN Data 2025

As more detailed NAPLAN data is starting to filter through, I thought I would share some of this with our school community. Below is a table of the percentage of students at our school in Year’s 3 & 5 who achieved in the ‘strong’ and ‘exceeding’ range for each of the NAPLAN domains.

As you can see, compared with ‘like’ schools, state and other schools in our network, we are achieving some fantastic results. A huge congratulations to our teachers and students. This a testament to all their hard work and dedication to their teaching and learning.

Trivia Night Reminder

Our annual trivia night is quickly approaching and will be held on Saturday 16th August.

Similar to last year, we encourage families to organise tables of 8-10 people, but we will certainly sell individual tickets for those that require them.

Tickets are $30 each and any donations that families could contribute to the night would be much appreciated. Please contact administration for all enquiries.

Curriculum Day Postponed

As posted recently on Compass, we have needed to postpone our Curriculum Day for this term. This was organised to be held on Wednesday 27th August but will now be held on a date to be confirmed in Term 4. I will communicate the new date as soon as this has been determined.

Pyjama Day

Baxter PS students and staff raised $378.50 for the Pyjama Foundation in much-needed support for children in foster care. It was great to see all staff and students support this fabulous cause. The funds made from Treat Day in Week 1 of Term 3 also formed part of our overall donation.

We acknowledge the Bunurong people, the Traditional

Owners of the land on which Baxter Primary School resides, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
