Congratulations to our Senior Dance Team, Rubies, who delivered a fantastic performance at the Winterfest competition over the weekend. Competing against a strong field, the team showcased their skill and energy finishing in an impressive 3rd place overall.
This result is a testament to the countless hours of training and the dedication shown by each of the dancers and their coach, Chantelle. Their teamwork, precision, and passion were clearly on display and made the Overnewton community proud.
We now wish the Rubies the very best of luck as they prepare for their next event - the upcoming Battles competition. This competition will also showcase our Cheer teams, Angels, Rays and Royals who have been busy preparing their routines for this event.

It was fantastic to see our Year 5/6 students take to the courts and fields last week for the start of Season 2 fixtured matches. After several weeks of trials and training, there was a real sense of excitement and enthusiasm as teams finally had the chance to represent Overnewton in Interschool Competition.
We’re looking forward to seeing how each team continues to develop throughout the season. A big thank you to the coaches and staff for their ongoing support of the program.
Best of luck for the rest of the season!
That concludes a very big term of Sport at Overnewton. Thank you to all students, parents, and staff that contributed to our success in a number of events throughout the term. We look forward to further success throughout Term 3 as we lead into Winter ACS Grand Finals and Cheer Championships.
Register for the competition here.
