Year 9 / Junior School Mini Olympics

In a wonderful display of leadership and community spirit, 32 Year 9 students recently volunteered their time to plan, organise and host a Mini Olympics for our Junior School students. Giving up their lunchtimes, these enthusiastic volunteers worked together to design a fun and engaging event filled with a variety of athletic challenges. Events on the day included Relay Races, Long Distance Races, Long Jump, Rubber Chicken Javelin Throw and Bean Bag Shot Put - each one bringing laughter, energy, and friendly competition to the Junior School oval.

It was heartening to see the Year 9 students so invested in creating a positive experience for their younger peers. Their teamwork, encouragement, and ability to engage the Junior School students highlighted just how capable and compassionate our Year 9 cohort can be. The younger students were clearly thrilled to be guided by their older role models, and the bonds formed during this event have only strengthened the sense of connection across the school. We commend our Year 9 volunteers for their leadership and generosity of spirit.
