Founders Day
Last Thursday the College Founders’ Day services were held at St Paul’s Cathedral. The Year 5–12 choirs, Symphonic Band, String Orchestra and several individual musicians’ performances enriched the service.
The Year 5/6 Choir sang Be A Light by Mark Hughes with SS musicians contributing to the accompaniment. The Symphonic Band performed Red by Robert W Smith as the official party entered and Yukiko Nishimura’sBlessing Wind as a reflective piece. The combined Year 7/8 and SS Choirs sang Only A Holy God, demonstrating beautiful 3-part harmonies. The service ended with the String Orchestra accompanying the official party recession with River Song by Richard Meyer.
The music lifted the service and further communicated and reinforced the theme. Thank you to the student musicians, their teachers and the parents who came to support them.

This year the musical is being performed at the Bowery Theatre – just 11 minutes from the Yirramboi Campus 15 minutes from Canowindra Campus. We recommend booking early to reserve a seat.
