IN OUR CLASSROOMS

This week we moved on to a new focus in our reading sessions, as we looked at procedural texts and answered questions about what we'd read.

In our writing sessions, students continued on with their persuasive writing topic of 'Team Spicy vs Team Non-Spicy'. Students have been focusing on making sure they use persuasive devices such as rhetorical questions, emotive words, cause and effect statements and connecting phrases in their work. Which team would you be on?

In our Numeracy sessions we have been focusing on fractions and students are developing their understanding of the connections between improper fractions and mixed numbers.

In Civics and Citizenship, students have been learning about the 3 main structures of government. In Science, students have been exploring the 3 different stages of matter and have explored how solids can become liquids and liquids can become solids.

HOOPTIME CHAMPIONS!

On Thursday this week a group of our 3/4 students represented our school in the Hooptime Finals. The team performed amazingly well to win 4 games in a row, followed by an epic win in the Grandfinal! The team will now progress to the Hooptime State Championships, which is an amazing achievement. We are all so proud of them!

SWIMMING

All students are enjoying our swimming program and the chance to develop their skills. It has been really pleasing to see how organised students have been and how willing they are to challenge themselves in the pool.
