Year 12 final weeks

Our Class of 2023 have been winding up their time at school with a number of celebrations over the past few of weeks.  At the end of Term 3, there was a very special Blessing Assembly, where the Prep students presented each Year 12 student with a card of prayer and encouragement for their upcoming exams, and sang a song of blessing over them! It was a beautifully personal and moving gesture for the Year 12 students at a pivotal point in their studies. Primary teachers Mrs Naccari and Mr Gillie also shared words of encouragement and wisdom for this cohort, who they taught in their Prep and Year 6 years.

Other highlights included a Morning Tea kindly put on by our staff to wish them well, a day of uniform signing and a big final day with their costume parade, concert and celebration party, including food stalls and vans, a bucking bull and inflatable waterslide!

As a college, we are praying for them in these final weeks of studies before their exams and cheering them on! We look forward to honouring them as they graduate at the upcoming College Presentation Night.

Valedictory Dinner

Valedictorian, Savannah Chikwe.

First of all, I would like to express how honoured I am to be standing here on behalf of a cohort of remarkable individuals.

13 years. 156 months. 678 weeks…all coming down to 41 days until the final chapter in this book of ours comes to a close. From holding our parents’ hands as we embarked on our first day of prep, to soon embarking on our own life journeys in the big wide world. Who knew that these 13 years would fly by this fast? Throughout the years we have watched year 12 cohorts come and go, and now we, class of 2023, are at the top of that summit, taking all of it in and living that reality. All of the memories, the laughs, the ups, and the downs. Taking it all in and embracing every moment. So, when the sands of time eventually run out in that hourglass, we will have no regrets.

I have had the privilege of being a student at Plenty Valley Christian College since year 2.

Twilight Open Night & Year 7/8 Science Fair

On Tuesday evening, our campus was abuzz with activity with both the Twilight Open Night and Year 7/8 Science Fair taking place. With both current families and those considering PVCC, hundreds of people enjoyed browsing the interesting displays, complimentary sausage sizzle, lovely weather and views.

A number of alumni students from the Class of 1993 also took the initiative to join us to celebrate their 30th year reunion, touring the grounds to reminisce about their school days, and see the progress that’s taken place at PVCC since. We loved having them come along and welcome other Alumni students to do the same at future events.
