Girls Soccer Team Shine at Division Finals
On Monday our Girls Soccer Team proudly represented our school at the Division Finals, competing against seven other schools. With great teamwork and determination, the team placed second in their pool, earning them a spot in the semi-finals.
In a tense semi-final match against Pinewood Primary School, both teams played exceptionally well, with the game ending in a 0–0 draw. The outcome came down to a nerve-racking penalty shootout. Showing incredible resilience under pressure, our girls scored 2 out of 5 penalties and blocked 4 shots to win the shootout and secure a place in the grand final.
The team went on to face St Justin’s Primary School in the grand final. It was a hard-fought match, and although we narrowly lost 0–1, the girls played with outstanding spirit and determination. Throughout the day, our players consistently demonstrated the school values of confidence, taking risks and backing themselves on the field; responsibility, through teamwork and focus; respect, towards umpires, coaches and opponents; and resilience, showing courage and composure in challenging moments.
We are incredibly proud of the team’s effort, sportsmanship and teamwork. Congratulations to all players on a fantastic achievement!
