Butlers Boots

St Virgil’s College is pleased to be supporting a new community initiative called “Butlers Boots” which wants to ensure that every child has the opportunity to play the sport they love, regardless of their financial situation.

The program facilitates boot swapping, where underprivileged kids can receive or swap a pair of pre-loved footy or soccer boots—free of charge. To make this possible, they rely on generous donations from families who may have outgrown or no longer need their boots.

St Virgil’s College is supporting this initiative by asking for donations of clean, preloved football and soccer boots in all sizes. Please send in any boots that your son no longer needs. With our help, we can get more kids out on the field, feeling included, confident, and ready to play.

Please drop these donations off to the front office.

Aboriginal Studies Bruny Island Camp

This week we have had twelve students and four staff members on Bruny Island visiting the Murray Field Property as part of our college Pathways program. Students were given the opportunity to learn about Tasmanian Aboriginal culture out on Country whilst spending time in the nueone Nation, learning about cultural foods, and the deep connection Tasmanian Aboriginal people have to the island. We thank our staff – David Sanderson, Sherry Coy, Jake Terhell and Trent Prouse for giving these students the opportunity to be included in this excursion.
