Exciting New Addition to Our Senior Space: 3D Printing Technology

We are excited to announce a generous donation from De La Salle College: a 3D printer now housed in our Senior Space. This exciting addition came about thanks to Stephen Brick, father of Ada in Prep, who kindly donated the printer to our school as De La Salle was making room for new equipment.

Stephen also took the time to run a hands-on session with our senior students, modelling how to use the 3D printer and guiding them through the process of designing and creating prints. The students were fascinated by the possibilities and enjoyed seeing digital designs come to life.

The inclusion of 3D printing in the classroom will allow students to turn abstract ideas into tangible models. This new technology will offer creative thinking, builds problem-solving skills, and promotes collaboration.

We extend our sincere thanks to Stephen and the De La Salle College community for this thoughtful and generous donation. It’s already making a meaningful impact in our learning space.

Reflection from our STEM captains:

It's great to learn more about modern technology as it is becoming more popular and common. I'm excited to create things such as 3D shapes which can be used in maths and even props for the production. Maximillian

I'm excited as it open up a world of opportunities for what we can do in the classroom, including props for the production. I'm really thankful to De La Salle for the donation. Jamie
