Studiosity Services

More and more students are using our Studiosity service for assignment work and independent study after hours. In this way, we are supporting students to receive instant feedback and guidance from a professional whenever they encounter difficulties.

Students should ensure they have set up their free Studiosity account at studiosity.com/access or via the SEQTA splash page.

Senior School Reports

Semester 1 Subject Reports for the Senior School will be sent to parents on the Wednesday 18 June. The reports will have a link to the booking sheet for Learning Conferences, to be held on the afternoon of Monday 23 June. We encourage students and their families to use these Learning Conferences as an opportunity for reflection, affirmation and goal setting.

A reminder that SEQTA provides ongoing assessment information and parents are encouraged to keep in touch with the school in the event of any concerns.

Magical Mystery Tour Concert

Thursday 26 June - 6pm to 7.30pm

Sixty years after they first toured Australia, The Music of The Beatles will be celebrated by many of our talented Senior School music ensembles in our Magical Mystery Tour Concert to be held in The Farrall Centre on Thursday 26 June, from 6pm - 7.30pm.

This is a free concert.

Subject Selections Years 11 and 12 - 2026

You will now have access to the Years 11 and 12 coursebook for 2026. This has important information about each of the pathways, as well as the courses that will be offered for study in 2026 and 2027. The coursebook also includes a videolink to the Pathways evening recording for those unable to attend.

Students will also have received an email from the timetablers with information about WebPreferences access for subject selection. Although we encourage students to make their selections early, they are able to change their subject preferences until the due date of Thursday 26 June. Some subjects will be offered every second year - these are clearly indicated in the course book- so please think carefully about a two year program when making decisions about courses.

Courses may not run if there are insufficient numbers.

Year 7-10 Art Exhibition

Fight MND Big Freeze 11 - 2025

Wednesday 25 June - 11.00am

Students from the R5 tutor group and the Service Committee have organised a fundraiser event with a number of staff members bravely registering their interest to “take the plunge” for an important cause. Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a debilitating disease which attacks the patient’s nerves and takes away their ability to walk, speak, swallow and ultimately breathe with an average life expectancy of just 27 months from diagnosis. With many family members and friends of our School community affected by MND this is a valuable opportunity to raise much needed funds and awareness.

Students, staff and community members are invited to come along to the Top Basketball Courts from 11am to 11.30am to show their support on Wednesday June 25. Those donating $15 or more get to be bucket tippers on the day! We also welcome your donation to our fundraiser using this LINK or by making a cash/card donation at the Senior School office.

Hobart City Mission Emergency Relief Drive

Senior School student Oliver Magill and Tutor Group R6 are seeking donations of nonperishable food for Hobart City Mission’s Emergency Relief program which will be donated to those in need.

Non-perishable food includes:

Cans of Big’N Chunky soup (525g)
Long life (UHT) milk (1lt)
Jars of pasta sauce
Cans of tuna (185g and 95g)
Cans of spaghetti & baked beans
Packet noodles
Packets of plain pasta
Packets of rice (1kg)
Cereal
Biscuits
Muesli bars
Lunchbox snacks

Donations that are ion-date/not about to exceed their expiry or best by date can be placed in collection boxes in the Senior School Office/Library. Any queries to Oliver Magill or Karina Churchill. The drive will run until the 20 June.

Family/Sibling Photos - Limited Spaces

Wednesday 25 June | Hodgkin Hall

MSP Photography will be running family/sibling photos in Hodgkin Hall (Commercial Road Campus) on Wednesday 25 June from 3.15pm-5pm. If you would like to have a family/sibling photo you will need to complete this form by 4pm, Monday 23 June and allocate your family a timeslot.

SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY - Shorts Day 2025

It is nearing the shortest day of the year, which means it is almost SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTy's Shorts Day.

This year the Senior School are asking students to get involved while braving the cold and braving the conversation about mental health.

Friday 20 June

Students are encouraged to wear their funkiest shorts with your school uniform on top and make a gold coin donation to Speak Up Stay ChatTy.

Traditional Sunrise Walk

Students are invited to join the annual Sunrise Walk. We will meet at 7am at the W N Oats building and walk to the Domain. The Speak Up Stay ChatTy team will join us to see the sunrise. On our return you will enjoy a warm breakfast before heading to class. Students are required to sign up using the link emailed to them and also located on SEQTA. Parents will be shared into an Operoo form.

So it's time to pull out your shorts and brave the cold and brave the conversation.
