Greetings from Shaun

What a jam packed term we have had!
There have been so many special events this term: Grade 5/6 camp, P-2 swimming, Education Week, Gala Day, and a variety of exciting excursions and incursions. Alongside all the fun, our students have been working incredibly hard in the classroom, showing great persistence, curiosity, and growth in their learning.
Next Friday 4th July is our final day of Term 2 and students will be dismissed at 2:30pm.
Curriculum Day Reminder
Just a reminder as we inch closer to the holiday break, that Monday the 21st of July is a Pupil Free Day for all students. While students are having one last sleep in, teachers will be working with Literacy consultant Riss Leung to engage in further learning around the Big Six in Reading.
Don’t forget that Italian Day is scheduled for Friday the 25th of July and because the day will be jam packed full of activities, there will be no assembly on Friday afternoon.
Reports and Parent Teacher Interviews reminders
Semester One reports will be available on Compass next Tuesday 1st July.
Parent teacher conferences will take place in Term 3 - Wednesday 30th July (Week 2). Bookings are currently open in Compass and scheduled to close on Thursday 24th July.
Planning Week
This week specialist classes have been adjusted to allow our teachers to plan in their teams for Term 2. The days have been extremely productive and there is some exciting learning planned for Term 2!
Next term, our Grade 1/2, 3/4, and 5/6 students will be diving into Digital Technologies as part of their learning program. To support this, we’re excited to introduce some fantastic new tools that will help bring technology concepts to life in hands-on and engaging ways.
Thanks to our wonderful parent community and their fundraising efforts, we have been able to purchase mTiny Robots, Spike LEGO kits, and a 3D printer. These resources will give students opportunities to explore coding, design, robotics, and problem-solving in creative and practical ways, building important skills for the future.
