From the Year 2 Classroom

Welcome back to Term 2, and it's hard to believe we are already into Week 3.

We have implemented entry and exit routines and are working together to create CALM classrooms.

In Literacy, we are focusing on text connections, connecting text with ourselves and, most recently, other texts. The children have begun writing an information report about a topic of their choice. They are learning to find facts from books and will eventually create an information booklet. 

In Math, we have finished Addition and Subtraction. We are now revisiting Place Value with a focus on four-digit numbers, expanding, comparing and ordering.

In Inquiry, we are looking at the continents, countries and oceans of the world. In the next few weeks, they will be finding out more about a country of their choice. 

In Religion, we are learning about the story of Pentecost.

We are looking forward to seeing all our special visitors on Friday for our Mother's Day Liturgy and whole school activity fun. We wish everyone a lovely day on Sunday.
