Celebrate Youth Week at Cannon Hill Community Centre

Youth Week is here, and it's time to celebrate the incredible contributions young people make to our community!

The team at Cannon Hill Community Centre is hosting a free Youth Week event filled with fun activities, music, and great food.

Where: Cannon Hill Community Centre

What’s On: Bubble soccer, archery, live music, snacks, Easter eggs, and a BBQ lunch!

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Work Experience – Applications Now Open!

Aviation Australia, in partnership with the Aerospace Gateway to Industry Schools, is offering a five-day work experience program in 2025 for students interested in aircraft maintenance engineering. This hands-on opportunity allows students to work with experienced trainers and explore careers in structures, mechanical, or avionics maintenance.

Eligibility:

✅ Year 10-12 students from an Aerospace Gateway to Industry School

✅ At least 14 years old

✅ Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen, or Temporary Resident with the necessary visa

📅 Program Dates:

Course 1: 23-27 June 2025 (Week 10, Term 2)
Course 2: 30 June - 4 July 2025 (School holidays)

📍 Location: Boronia Road, Brisbane Airport

Apply now! Complete the online application form by 5pm, Friday 16 May 2025. A signed permission form must be uploaded to finalise your application.
