School Nurse Message

Support group for parents of Neurodiverse kids
Hello,
For those that don’t know me, I am Emily, the school nurse. I am also the mum of two children, Ava (8) and Finley (6) in our school community. In 2023, I completed my graduate certificate in autism studies. I wanted to get a better understanding of how to better support my children and their individual needs. Every child is so unique and has their own strengths and challenges, but for neurodiverse children, these strengths and challenges can be amplified. This can create additional stress or challenges for parents. We thought it would be nice to connect together parents of neurodiverse children for a catch up every month or so. This invitation is open to everyone, not everyone has gone through the formal diagnostic process. If you are interested, please contact me at emilyhealey@mpps.me.
The school has also provided us with a great resource Home Page SchoolTV | Middle Park Primary School. If you type in neurodiversity/autism/ADHD or a particular topic in the search bar, it will come up with lots of great resources.
I am happy to chat or answer any questions you might have.
Emily Healey
