Welcome back to Term 2! We have been very busy with our learning so far this term.

Literacy

We’ve been having lots of fun as we continue to explore new letters and sounds, including some exciting digraphs!

In Reading, we’ve explored the books 'The Good Egg' and 'The Bad Seed', responding to the text and using comprehension strategies like predicting and making connections to our own lives.

During our writing sessions, we have been working hard to write recounts about our holidays and weekends. The students have shown so much growth in their writing and we are so proud of them!

Numeracy

In Numeracy, we’ve been continuing our work with numbers 0–20, exploring how to build numbers using MAB blocks and beginning to understand place value in the tens and ones columns.
