Celebrating Student Success at Wagga Wagga and Albury Netball Trials

Over the past two weeks, 23 of our students participated in netball trials held in Wagga Wagga and Albury.

Our Years 5 and 6 girls trialled in Wagga Wagga, competing in 10-minute games alongside students from other Anglican schools across the Riverina region. The performance and commitment of each student were truly commendable. We were especially proud to have three students—Sophie Frazer (Year 5), Ebony Patten (Year 6), and Lila Mislicki (Year 6) which were selected to play in the final trial game, Possibles and Probables. Following this, Sophie Fraser and Lila Mislicki were named in the team progressing to the next stage: the 12 and Under NSW State Primary All Schools Team trials in Sydney. A remarkable achievement!

Squads

Congratulations to all students who embraced the challenge of participating in the morning and afternoon sporting squads this term. It has been wonderful to witness the high level of student engagement and enthusiasm in these sessions.

A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated staff members who have led these squads. Your time, effort and commitment to providing such valuable opportunities for our students are truly appreciated.

As we look ahead to Term 2, we will be restructuring the squads to support continued development and improvement. These changes will allow us to offer a greater number of squad options, provide coaches with the opportunity to design more targeted and effective sessions and accommodate the increasing number of students eager to be involved in the program.

Squads will recommence in weeks 2 and 3 of Term 2. Parents who have already signed up will receive an email outlining the upcoming changes. If your child would like to join a squad, please contact Mr Greg Cadd at gcadd@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au.

We are also excited to announce the introduction of a soccer squad led by former Moama Anglican Grammar student and current staff member Paige Pinson. Keep an eye out for the flyer with further details.

Years 4–8 Sport will continue next term. If your child is unavailable for a squad on a given day, please note that their sport may still be offered as part of the Term 2 sports program. Feel free to get in touch to explore available options.
