P&F Easter Raffle 

Thank you to those families who sent in donations for our Easter Raffle. Has your son mentioned playing table tennis at lunch and recess? If so, that is possible due to the money donated to buy the three tables by the senior P&F in previous years. If you haven’t already done so, please purchase a ticket (or more!!) through Qkr! to support their fundraising efforts - $2 per ticket, 3 tickets for $5, 13 tickets for $20, or 35 tickets for $50. Our winners will be drawn on Monday 7 April. 

 

 

 

ANZAC DAY 2025 

Students from St Virgil’s College, both Junior and Senior campuses, are invited to march in the main Hobart Anzac Day parade again this year. Please consider joining us on this very important day. This march is an opportunity for all of us to show our support for past and present service people, and to acknowledge their contributions to the nation. Students are to wear formal uniform. 

 

Times: 

10.15 am Meet corner of Victoria and Macquarie Streets (outside the Astor Hotel) Banners will be allocated, and groups will move to their allocated spot to join the Parade. 

11.03               Parade begins. 

11.30               Parade arrives at the Cenotaph. 

11.45               Commemoration Service begins. 

12.30              Commemoration Service concludes. 

  

Boys are to be collected promptly from the Cenotaph at 12.30 pm by a parent or guardian.  There will be an announcement at 9.00 am on the day if the Service is to be moved to the City Hall due to wet weather. 

  

Some specific instructions for the Parade: 

  1. If wearing medals in honour of relatives, please wear them on the right side of College blazer. 

  2. On arrival at the Cenotaph we will peel off from the Parade and move to the School’s Assembly Area. This will be between the last two trees on the left-hand side as you march towards the Cenotaph.
