Last Friday 28 March, our senior leaders from years 10 – 12 met with the senior leaders of St Mary’s College. A combined leadership meeting to plan and organise connections regarding various initiatives run within both schools. It was evident amongst the students that there is a keen commitment to be engaging more frequently between our two schools. I would like to thank St Mary’s for hosting and with plans to return the opportunity shortly. Thank you to Mr David Webster for scheduling this important partnership and we look forward to our partnership moving forward.
In supporting Student Success in the Classroom, our Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences will occur on day one of term 2, this is an extremely valuable opportunity. The mindset within these meetings must be of a positive one, focused on improvement. Having an open discussion about your areas of struggle or difficulty and putting measures in place to rectify this, comes from the dialogue during these conferences. So, I encourage all of our young men to be present at these conferences and to be active in the conversation which is aimed at supporting their success.
Ms Eliza Gerke and Mr Joshua Boland have recently informed me of their intention to resign for their respective teaching positions. We thank Ms Gerke and Mr Boland of their contributions to our community. The College will respond accordingly in managing suitable replacements which will come into effect by the middle of next term.
