Wellbeing

MPRPS is a Lead School in our network for the Resilience, Rights & Respectful Relationships program (sometimes called RRRR or Respectful Relationships). The program was the product of a Royal Commission into Family Violence. It is a suite of learning resources designed as preventative tool to reduce family violence in communities by educating young people from primary to secondary education across 8 topics, ranging from emotional literacy to stereotypes. As part of our Lead School resposbilities, we are hosting a 'Community of Practice' at MPRPS in June, where other schools will come and work on improving their Respectful Relationships programs in their communities.

In Term 2 at MPRPS, across the school year levels will be looking at emotional literacy, personal strengths and problem solving in their weekly Wellbeing lessons. Having a dedicated space each week to explore these topics supports our students to be able to be 'ready to learn' in all areas of the curriculum by having a better understanding of how to regulate their own emotions and find solutions to social problems both in and out of the class.
