Principal Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for a wonderful first term. We are proud of the efforts your children have put into attending and succeeding at school. If you missed the messages, you will find a progress report for your child on Compass for Term 1.

Returning in Term 2 we look forward to seeing you and your child at 3-way conferences, where there will be a chance for your child to reflect on their term 1 learning tasks and their progress reports. Bookings are open now on Compass. 

We will also start training on Monday and Thursdays in school time with our partners 'Ruccis Circus School' in readiness for our school production in June. All students will participate on the night and showcase their new skills.

Grade 6 transition forms will be submitted to high schools, and new prep families will apply to join RHPS. If you have a sibling joining us in 2026, please complete the enrolment portal shared through your kinder/pre-school. We have an open night for families on Tuesday 13th May and we continue to offer tours Tuesday's and Friday's at 9:30am throughout Term 2. 

We will also have all of our usual term 2 events like Education Week, Premier's Reading Challenge, Cross Country, Girls AFL Gala Day, G34 Hoop Time, and some exciting excursions and incursions - Quantum (Grade 34), Zoo Visit (Prep), Mad About Science (Grade 2). We will also launch our 'Connect Groups' - watch this space.

If you visit school over the holidays, you may see some work being undertaken to our main building drains, as well as the installing of new drink troughs thanks to the Parents & Friends 2024 fundraising efforts. There will also be repainting in the canteen, new LED lights in the Boorai, as well as a full school steam clean. 

Have a safe and wonderful holiday and we will see you for a short three-day week when we return.
