Free Dress

On Friday 4th April, we are holding a Free Dress Day. Our Junior School Council Representatives have suggested an Easter theme, so if you have some bunny ears or any other Easter props, you are more than welcome to wear those on the day.

We will be raising money on this day to support the Good Friday Appeal.

The Good Friday Appeal is a charity that brings together people from all parts of the community to support The Royal Children’s Hospital.

We are hoping you will be able to support this very worthy cause. Please use the link below to make a donation on behalf of Park Ridge Primary School.

Poppies to Remember

This year we will again be supporting the Returned and Services League of Australia by selling poppies for ANZAC Day.  Members of our Junior School Council will be coming around to all classes during the day.  Our poppies range in price from $1 to $5.

What is the significance of selling poppies for the day?

The poppy continues to be sold worldwide to raise money and to remember those who lost their lives in the First World War and in subsequent conflicts.

How is the Poppy worn?

The Poppy should be worn with respect on the left breast, close to the heart.

Family Conversation Starters

Use these questions to start a dinner time conversation.

Some helpful tips:

  • Wait until the person has finished speaking
  • Listen carefully and ask follow up questions
  • Let others ask you questions too
  • Alternating the flow of conversations helps all family members feel like they are equal in the discussion
