Principal's News

Dear Parents/Carers,
We warmly welcome everyone back to Sacred Heart for Term 2. This term, we are delighted to welcome a new student, Veda, who has joined us from India and will be part of our Grade 1 team with Mrs Doyle.
We also welcome Hannah Zapelli and Kathryn Wood, who will be completing their teaching placements with us over the next four/five weeks. We hope both Veda, Hannah and Kathryn quickly feel very much at home in our school community.
I trust families were able to enjoy a restful Easter break. From all reports, there was plenty of time spent outdoors, camping trips, and lots of fun had by all, although the weather didn’t quite fire up.
The first day of a new term always brings a wonderful buzz to the school. Students are excited to reconnect with friends, teachers return refreshed and ready, and parents are often very happy to see the term begin as well!
Newsletter to be moved to fortnightly
To help keep communication clear, relevant and manageable for families, our school newsletter will now move to a fortnightly format. Many schools have found that fortnightly newsletters allow important information, celebrations and key dates to be shared in a more concise and meaningful way, without overwhelming families with too much at once. Please be assured that urgent reminders and important notices will still be communicated as needed through our usual channels. We hope this change will make it easier for families to stay informed and connected with all that is happening at Sacred Heart
Issues with Parent Access Module (PAM)
This message has come from SIMON the platform we use to communicate with our parents through their PAM account. They are currently experiencing issues with any Hotmail, Live or Outlook email addresses. Microsoft have changed their security on these accounts which limits how many Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) codes SIMON can send.
They are currently working on a solution. Thank you for your patience during this time.
Winter Uniform Reminder
A reminder to families that students will transition to their winter uniform from the beginning of Term 2.
As the weather starts to cool, we ask families to please ensure children are wearing the correct winter uniform items and are well presented for school. Wearing the school uniform with pride helps promote a sense of belonging and consistency across our school community. Please refer to the 'Uniform page' in newsletter.
Make-up and Nails
This means that make-up, fake nails, acrylic nails, nail polish and similar cosmetic items are not to be worn to school. These items can become distractions in the classroom and on the playground and, in some cases, may also pose safety or practical concerns during learning and play.
We appreciate your support in helping our students come to school ready to learn and in line with our school expectations.
Kind regards,
Karl Dwyer
Principal
