About Me

Hello families, my name is Corinne, and I am a proud Wurundjeri and Dhanggati woman. I have a lifelong love of the arts and feel incredibly fortunate to have spent much of my adult life teaching art, following my studies in both Art and Theology. I also create and sell my own artwork, which allows me to continue sharing my passion for creativity beyond the classroom. I have been fortunate to live in both Malaysia and Singapore, experiences that deepened my appreciation for culture, connection, and community. Alongside teaching, I have worked in animal rescue for the past five years, a role that is very close to my heart. I share my home with my beautiful dog, Zuzu, whose funny adventures often bring plenty of smiles to our classroom conversations. I am also a devoted Collingwood Football Club supporter! Above all, I love inspiring creativity, curiosity, and confidence in young people through the joy of art.

Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and empowered to learn. I am passionate about creating inclusive learning environments where all students are welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive. I value the arts as a powerful way to inspire creativity, self-expression, and connection, and I enjoy weaving artistic experiences across the curriculum. I am deeply committed to embedding First Nations perspectives into my teaching, honouring the rich cultures, histories, and ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through kindness, respect, and culturally responsive practice, I strive to foster a classroom community where diversity is celebrated, and every learner feels a genuine sense of belonging.
