Ainslie Gerritsen
My name is Ainslie Gerritsen. I have been teaching for 23 years, 20 of which have been at Meadows Primary School...that's a lot!
I grew up in country Victoria in a town called Wangaratta.
I go for the Geelong Football Club and I'm always happy after a Cats win.
I enjoy sewing and making clothes. As many of you will know, I LOVE Book Week and I try to make a new costume every year. I don't know what I will be this year, but rest assured, it will be big! Stay tuned...

My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that learning should be both inclusive and engaging, creating an environment where every student feels valued, supported, and motivated to participate. I recognise that students come from diverse backgrounds, with different strengths, experiences, and ways of learning. Because of this, I strive to design lessons that are flexible and accessible, incorporating a variety of teaching methods so that all learners have meaningful opportunities to succeed.
I studied at Deakin University Geelong.
