Trinity College Cross Country Championships
Thursday, 2 April
Following a ‘Challenge Day’ theme during the second instalment of our Health & Physical Education week, Trinity’s students were put to the ultimate endurance test over the pacy 3km course. Into its 4th year, it was fantastic to have had record numbers competing this year, including just under 200 students in the Year 7 race.
Open to Year 8-12 students by nomination, the event’s aim is to serve as an opportunity for students to further demonstrate the “Spirit of Excellence” and strive to be a part of the College’s team at the SSWA Interschool event next term.
The positive attitude and enthusiasm displayed by the students on the day was undoubtedly in respect of the great effort put in by many staff in preparation, as without the support of College teaching, grounds and administration staff, such an event could not run so smoothly.
The top placing students for each year group were as follows:
YEAR 7 | YEAR 8 | YEAR 9 | YEAR 10 | YEAR 11 | YEAR 12 | |
| Champion | Rohan Shephard | Mitch Borman | Jonty Booth | Tace Rankin | Jude Stanley | Daniel Russo |
| Runner-up | Neil Schoeman | Beau Morgan | Cael McLure | Jasper Morris-Luck | Joseph Di Ciano | Lachlan Mammana |
| 3RD place | Reuben Hii | Gethin Humphreys | Ashton Hardingham | Tye Mammana | Hudson McLoughlin | Thibault Martin |
Congratulations to these highly deserving students who will receive their medals at the assembly next term and well done to all runners involved for demonstrating great sportsmanship regardless of where they finished.
Many personal bests were achieved through grit and determination, and special mention is deserved for our ‘hat-trick’ School Champion Daniel Russo (12.4) who was again the deserving recipient of the Perpetual Trophy for the fastest runner across the course on the day. (9.50 minutes) Brilliant effort, Daniel, you’ve set an exceptional standard for our runners to aspire to in the years to come.

Cricket Windup
Middle & Senior School 2025/2026
Building Momentum in TC Cricket
The Trinity College Cricket community came together on Saturday 28 March 2026 in Gibney Hall for the Middle and Senior School Cricket Windup. The evening provided a wonderful opportunity for TC cricketers from Years 7 to 12, along with their families, friends, coaches and team managers, to come together and celebrate the 2025/2026 PSA Cricket season.
A Night of Reflection and Celebration
A special highlight of the evening was the recognition of our Year 12 cricketers – the Class of 2026 – who were warmly clapped into the hall in acknowledgement of their contribution to the TC Cricket program.
We were fortunate to hear from Old Boy and parent, Mr Justin Hannah, a valued and long-time supporter of TC Cricket. His sons, Taylor (Class of 2021) and Riley (Class of 2026), have both been integral members of the program. Mr Hannah spoke about the importance of community and connection within TC Cricket.
First XI Captain Riley Hannah also addressed attendees, reflecting on his time in the program and encouraging younger players to continue developing their skills and enjoy their cricket journey.
A Warm Welcome and a Fond Farewell
The energy in the room was evident, particularly with our Year 7 students attending their first official cricket event as part of the TC community. Their enthusiasm is a promising sign for the continued growth of the program.
For our Year 12 students, the evening was a bittersweet occasion - their final Cricket Windup before finishing their time at the College. We thank them for their contributions and wish them every success for the remainder of 2026 and beyond. As they move forward, we hope they carry with them the skills, friendships and values developed through their involvement in TC Cricket.
Recognising Outstanding Performances
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of awards, recognising the players’ hard work, dedication and outstanding performances throughout the season.

A Community Effort
None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our coaches and team managers, families, Friends of Cricket and the broader TC Cricket community.
A special thank you to Trinity Old Boy Mr Don Pietracatella, his son-in-law Augustin, and their team from Donato and Son Catering for providing a delicious buffet enjoyed by all on the night.
We also sincerely thank everyone who contributed raffle prizes and supported the raffle. The funds raised will directly benefit the TC Cricket program and support its continued growth.
Looking Ahead
With the season behind us, we now look forward to welcoming our cricketers back in Term 4, ready to take on new challenges, continue developing their skills, and create more memorable moments on the field.
Congratulations to all our TC cricketers on their involvement in the program.

Changes to Sporting Communication
We have updated the way sporting information is shared with families. Sports fixtures and training times are now available through the Trinity College mobile app and Clipboard.
Parents who have not yet installed the Trinity College app are strongly encouraged to do so, as it is the primary way to stay up to date with current sporting events. A setup guide for the app can be found here. All sporting information is found behind Sport Notices button on the app.
Once the app is set up, sporting activities can also be viewed via Clipboard. This can be accessed through SEQTA by selecting the tile labelled “Clipboard”. To sign in, click “Sign in with SSO” under Guardian and use the same credentials as the app.
Please remember to regularly check your son's sporting information. Team changes can occasionally happen on the morning of the sporting activity.
If you experience any issues accessing the app or Clipboard, please contact the Trinity College Help Desk at tchelpdesk@trinity.wa.edu.au./
TCRC Fund-A-Breakfast
The TC Rowing Club (TCRC) is one of the College’s largest and most active ‘friends of’ groups, which supports numerous aspects of the rowing program. This includes the provision of breakfast items for rowers after training.
Understanding that time is precious, and it can sometimes be difficult to commit to volunteering for breakfast-provision services, the TCRC has developed another way to contribute… the ‘Fund-A-Breakfast’ program!
Funds raised will go towards the provision of breakfast for the rowers, which can include (but is not limited to) items such as oats, cereals, muffins, bacon and eggs, and other delicious goods.
Families are welcome to contribute as much or as little as they like, and as often as they like. All funds gratefully accepted.
$80 – Breakfast for a crew (9x persons)
$250 – Breakfast for a year level
$750 – Breakfast for the club
Other donation amount (starting from $50) – ‘make a breakfast’
