In the winter holidays I went on an Asia tour with Gondwana National Choirs with thirty other kids, seven were from around Australia and the others were made up by Sydney Children's Choir.

We spent three days in intensive rehearsals putting together eleven songs and performing eight of them in Sydney. We left the airport heading for Kuching, Malaysia. Learning the other three in hotels or on the plane. We stepped out of Kuching airport into 30-40 degrees with 70-90% humidity. We visited many schools performing and playing with the younger kids, and sharing contact info with the older kids.
We took a flight to Kuala Lumpur, and stayed with a family, I stayed with a girl called Xinn and her family of mum, dad, three girls and two boys. We visited the Batu Caves and tried so many different foods. I stayed with Madeline and Erin, and so much fun. We performed with Kuala Lumpur Children's Choir, and later met up with them in Singapore.
To get to Singapore we took an eight hour bus ride. There in Singapore, we performed in the International Choir Festival on Day 1 - Performance Exchange, and The Gala 2. The other choirs there were showcased amazing skill and talent. We also filmed a music video for "We are the world" by Micheal Jackson arranged to a choir piece.
We made so many friends and had so much fun exploring the different cultures and markets. It was totally worth the long plane trips and bus rides.
Mrs Moxey held her Studio Concert in the Performance Theatre on Monday, 3 August. All of her students performed exceptionally well on either the violin or viola. Mrs Moxey was very proud of their preparation and confidence throughout their performances. Best of luck to all students sitting their AMEB examinations in the coming weeks.
