Visual Arts HSC Exhibition

On Friday night there was a wonderful turn-out of visitors, parents and students who braved the crisp night air to attend the annual Visual Arts HSC Exhibition. On display were artworks ranging from Annabel Dowd’s extraordinary, emotional oil portraits, to loud, flashy photographs of supercars and accompanying video footage by Sam Balcomb.

Intricate lino reduction prints and solar etchings of Claudia Mason capturing the essence of place on the family farm, displayed next to Bede Hammond’s hauntingly beautiful video work shot on location on Mount Canobolas accompanied by his own musical composition. 

As always it is humbling to see the effort and creativity that was on display across a huge variety of art forms. This year there was musical accompaniment provided by senior Music students, and Hospitality students kept everyone sustained with a steady stream of delicious food.
