Georgia S Named State Representative – Again!
Year 8 student Georgia had a huge few weeks on the cricket field. She helped the Victorian U14 girls indoor cricket team finish 3rd at nationals, in the most tightly contested division of the competition. Georgia's stats tell the story: a top score of 28, 6 wickets, 4 catches and 4 run outs – including one that kept Victoria alive in the semi-final. The team then went on to win the B grade Victoria-wide Super League, beating the U16s in the grand final. Georgia has now been selected to represent Victoria again, this time against Tasmania in September. Congratulations Georgia!
Year 7/8 Semester 1 Sport – Final Results
Our Year 7/8 students wrapped up a strong Semester 1 of interschool sport. Boys Netball finished 3rd overall, Boys Volleyball finished 7th, Girls Soccer finished 2nd, and Girls Basketball went undefeated all season to finish 1st overall, capped off with a 38-9 grand final win. Well done to all students involved – a great effort across the board. A special mention to those students who'll go on to represent BHCS in CSEN Semester 2 Sport in Boys Basketball, Boys Soccer, Girls Netball and Girls Volleyball. Good luck!
CSEN AFL Championships – Boys Through to Herald Sun Shield!
Last Thursday, our Years 7-10 boys and girls AFL teams competed at the CSEN AFL Championships, and they did us proud. Both teams showed grit all day, but it was the moments off the ball that stood out – helping opponents up after hard contests, checking on injured players from the other side, and stepping up to keep morale high when games got tough. That's our Grit. Serve. Lead. Values in action.
The girls started strong with a solid win, had a tough loss to a strong side, then bounced back with a big win in their final pool game to reach the grand final, going down to Chairo by around 20 points – a great tournament all round.
The boys grew into the day. After tight wins in their first two pool matches (including a 3-point nail-biter against Edinburgh), they found another gear in the semi-final, beating Chairo by 40. They met Edinburgh again in the grand final and turned it around emphatically, winning comfortably by 40 points.
The boys now progress to the Herald Sun Shield on 2 September as CSEN's representative team.

Clean Sweep at Divisional Finals: We're Regional Bound!
What a Monday it was! On July 27th, the 9 members of our primary netball team headed off to compete in the Netball Divisional Finals, in Ferntree Gully and they put on an absolute masterclass.
Facing tough competition across 4 gruelling games, our team showed incredible skill, determination, and team spirit—winning every single game!
Highlights of the Day:
Undefeated Streak: 4 games played, 4 wins.
Teamwork: Seamless court transition, relentless defence, and sharp shooting sealed the victory in each match.
Next Stop: With the Divisional title secured, the team has officially earned a spot at the Regional Finals on Monday, August 10th.
A massive WELL DONE to all the players, and supporters who made this day such a triumph. Your teamwork and determined spirit is paying off in a big way. Let's keep the momentum going—bring on Regionals!
