Year Five/Six News

Our 5/6 students have been busy being authors this past two weeks. Following the Writer's Workshop model, they have been gathering ideas, brainstorming, planning, drafting, revising, editing and publishing their own writing. We have a vast range of writing ready for display at the festival including narratives, information reports and persuasive pieces. The 5/6 students have been creative in their publishing too with writing being displayed as picture story books, short stories, comics, posters, audio clips, movie scripts, stop motions and much more. We can't wait for our families and friends to come and see it!

Our students have also been busy working with Mr C to get the school garden beds filled, ready for planting in the coming weeks. Next Friday we have a representative from Bunnings coming to school to work with 8 of our students to plant in our veggie patches.

Next week we are looking forward to creating some craft with our buddy classes.

Don't forget, students are visiting our Father's Day stall on Friday to purchase a present for someone special in their lives.
